hello Sayler
My own kiddos are quickly approaching their 10th and 5th birthday and I question frequently how that could be. With my first I was so young. I had just turned 20 in March, having her in July. I had no idea about photography, or even what the heck I was doing. With my second, I had just heard about birth photography. Its something I regret not saving the money for greatly.I was 11 days late with my second. I had known deep down inside he would be early but oh how he had separate plans from mine. I was induced and ended 26 hours later with an emergency C-section. I don't remember much of anything. I do remember my sweet nurse trying to help me wake up to see my baby come into this world. She took my camera, I had worked so hard setting the settings for my husband to use, and took pictures of those first moments I will cherish forever. This is where the itch to serve mothers began. It was in the very beginning stages of my business, and life at home with littles. I fought hard to find my voice as a photographer, maybe this was truly bigger than just being a photographer. Trying to find who I was as a person other than just a caregiver to my children and wife to my husband.
It was my closest friends from middle and high school that trusted me most with their memories that pushed me to find my inner artist. 5 years ago I would have never said that about myself. This sweet momma, our family goes back generation of being friends. Growing up in a tiny town, that's what happens. She's a queen at doing hair, such a giver and one of the boss babes at Bombshell Hair and Makeup Lounge in Placerville. We planned having this moment in time for 9 months! I could not wait to capture these first moments of them becoming a family of 4!
